ENTRY GRADE LEVELS/COURSES

  • The purpose of the Grade 9 Referee Course is to prepare officials for the small-sided and recreational youth game.  Good level for a young referee to begin officiating but make sure the club you want to work for will use and hire Grade 9 referees before you commit to this training.
  • The purpose of the Grade 8 Referee Course is to prepare officials for the competitive youth game.  Able to officiate both recreational and travel matches for youth players.

IMPORTANT
The first email address that you enter in your profile is where all the class emails will be sent. Please make sure that it is the one that you use all the time and check regularly.

Note: If you are 18 or older you will automatically have a Risk Management (KidSafe) search performed on you when you finish the registration form.

Low enrollment or inclement weather may cause us to cancel or postpone a clinic.  If the clinic you are planning to attend has less than 12 people on the roster or its location may encounter poor weather conditions, PLEASE CHECK THE CLINIC LISTING AND YOUR EXACT CLINIC FOR UPDATED NOTICES BEFORE YOU HEAD OUT TO THE VENUE.  This is especially important if your drive to a clinic location will be far.

REFUND POLICY
Refunds for referee registration will be 50% and can only be requested and paid out during the registration period for the year for which payment was submitted.  Registration begins July 1 and ends June 30 for each certification year.

If you cannot attend a scheduled course and/or are unable to complete any required advance online training and would like to switch to another course, you may do so without incurring any additional charge. You do that by “cancelling the registration” in the original course. The system will apply both the fees and any online work completed in the first course to the new course.   Note:  You must cancel a registration before the instructor closes the course. This usually happens within a few days of the course ending.

If a clinic is cancelled due to low enrollment and no other clinics are available, a refund for the total fee can be provided, less the $5 fee for the background check on adult registrations.  You must request a refund before June 30.
